GovJam Klaipeda is a part of a worldwide iniaitive – Global GovJam. Global GovJam is an event that applies the concepts of service design into the world of government and the public sector. Working around a common Theme, small teams meet at multiple locations all around the World, working for 48 hours on building innovative approaches and solutions towards challenges faced by the public sector. At the end of the two days, they upload their results and publish them for the world.
In June 2013, LCC Innovation Lab hosted the first and very successful GovJam in the Baltic States.
Open Data Fest 2013
In August 2013, LCC Innovation Lab together with Young Professionals Program ‘Kurk lietuvai’ organized one of the first Open Data hackathons in Lithuania.
Open Data Fest is a competition during which teams create new solutions using open data from various state and municipal institutions.
Sustainability Jam Klaipeda 2013
Sustainability Jam Klaipeda is a sister event of Global GovJam and Global Service Jam. In this event, the tools, methods and energy of service design is used in designing sustainable solutions. Teams form according to their interests and spend a full weekend developing working prototypes of sustainable solutions.

Frog Design Collective Action Toolkit Workshop with Kara Pecknold
In November of 2013 LCC Innovation Lab hosted a very special Guest – Kara Pecknold, who is a senior researcher at Frog Design. Kara ran a 3 hour workshop introducing the Collective Action Toolkit developed by Frog design to enable local communities innovate using various service design methods.
